穆罕默德·阿卡姆·谢赫教授现任巴基斯坦科学技术信息中心主任，该中心为科学技术部下属巴基斯坦科学基金会的分支机构。他还是巴基斯坦科学基金会成员，并担任迈赫兰工程技术大学（贾姆肖罗市）软件工程系教授、信息与通信技术研究所联合主任。阿卡姆·谢赫于1993年在巴基斯坦获得机械工程学士学位，1996年获得工商管理硕士学位，2001年在英国哈德斯菲尔德大学获得软件工程硕士学位，并于2008年在清华大学获得博士学位。他拥有超过30年的教学、研究和管理经验，是巴基斯坦工程理事会的终身理事，在国内外期刊和会议上发表论文40余篇，并合作撰写专著两部。他为促进中巴两国的双边关系做出了重要贡献，被聘为中国科协海智计划特聘专家，也是中国工程师学会会员。

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh is working as Director General in Pakistan Scientific & Technology Information Centre (PASTIC), a subsidiary of Pakistan Science Foundation under Ministry of Science & Technology.  He remained Member Science in Pakistan Science Foundation, Professor in the Department of Software Engineering, & Co-Director Institute of Information & Communication Technologies Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Jamshoro. He has done his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Pakistan) in 1993, MBA (Pakistan) in 1996, MSc. Software Engineering from University of Huddersfield (UK) in 2001, and Ph.D. from Tsinghua University (China) in 2008.  He has more than 30 years of teaching, research & management/admin experience. He is the life time member of Pakistan Engineering Council. He is author of more than 40 journal/conference papers of national/international repute and Co-author of two books. He has taken great efforts to improve the bi-lateral relation between China and Pakistan. He is been appointed as a distinguished expert for HOME program of China Association for Science & Technology and member of China Society of Engineers.
